Being willing to ask for help outside of your family or friends is an extremely vulnerable experience for most people. Seeking mental healthcare is a daunting prospect, and I applaud you for considering it and taking action. My goal is to hold space for exploring the struggles you or your family face in a judgement-free and nurturing environment. As a therapist my role is to remain an objective observer of the larger picture of your life and provide neutral, supportive guidance toward your goals. Whether you are seeking services for yourself or your children, my door is open. I have worked in the mental healthcare field since 2008 in a variety of settings including residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient treatment, and private practice. I also have experience working in the foster care system, as well as in addiction treatment. The common in thread in each of these areas is trauma, which led me to focus my graduate education on the treatment of trauma and anxiety-related disorders. I am currently pursuing certification as a registered play therapist, and further specialized certification in the Trauma Play model of play therapy.
